Would that the Earth were my parchment,
and should that the seas were my ink,
still I could not pen your beauty,
no matter how long I persist.
But if such beauty be found in nature,
though nothing could truly compare,
I'd liken your radiance to sunrise,
your composure to the sun as it sets.
Your grace, I should say, like the wind as it moves through the trees and the leaves sing its splendor.
Your will, like the ocean, so calm when it wants, then what power, tumultuous ardor!
I've pictures of waves, sunrise, windy days,
I've photos of storms and tranquil sunsets.
But, O,
bless'd be the lens that could glimpse for the second to capture even your silhouette!
