My scars are deep
They're more than just skin
Not simply hurting within
And my pain is mine to keep

I can't share with others
No one would take it anyway
They'd only give me more pain
And try to hide me under the covers

Layers and layers down
Beneath the lowest level
Far away from any heaven
More remote than any town

I guess in the end
It just doesn't matter
Whether or not I feel better
Because I have no time to mend

Wish I had an angel to hold
Someone that to me would mean the world
If only I could find that girl
If only...
