Taking a swig or a puff
All of them drowning their conscience away
‘Til they’ve had far more than enough
They laugh and they joke when they’re sober
And they always find it “funny”
That Laurie threw up, or that Phil freaked out
That it’s fun to waste lives and their money
The worst of it is that they dare to believe
Dare to think I’m as wretched as they
On the outside I’m quiet, and politely say “No.”
But deep down inside what I’d like to say
Is ‘To HELL with you drinkers and druggies!
You’re wasting my air, and IQ
I don’t want your pathetic excuses for why
All I want is to not be near you.
While you throw away perfect ambition
To gouge out your chances at fame
To be recognized as more than a number
Because in the end, you’re all just the same
If I didn’t have to go wasting my breath
By “talking” to your kind of trash
Think of all of the things I could do with my life
If it weren’t for your secondhand ash.
You want to count me among your enemies?
Well GOOD, ‘cause I already am!
I’ll never approve, and I’ll never concede
That your “life” is more than a sham.
So go make my day, if you’re daring enough
Quit, and then you’ll know this is true:
Intolerance like mine isn’t “bringing us down”
It’s acceptance of people like YOU.
