Because you’re deaf.
You can’t hear me
When I’m reasonable
When I’m logical
You don’t even notice
Because your ears are still ringing

I am the one who you never knew
Because I’m not memorable
I was never outrageous
Always sober
Always clean
I never bent to pressure
Because I never saw the point

I am the one who you’ll wish you were
Because I’m not like you
You’ll have your job
At McDonald’s
At Staples
You’ll see me in the papers
Because I’m not like you.
