I saw some funny things:
A signpost2 promoting pretentions3
A blindfolded4 dove without wings.
While wallowing through Iowa5
I noted some curious sounds:
An unbaptized6 flute7 playing “Sideways8”
An eccentric toupee’s9 new bloodhounds.
I’ve sold my soul and my signature10,
I’ve studied idioms11 for idiots.
I’ve sung carols12 about construction13,
And suffered some rather probing tests.
While ambling through America
I’ve experienced lots, you see.
But nothing’s quite stuck14 as much
As that black-toothed15 gambler’s16 tee-
Shirt.
