Comment from the author: This is a poem I whipped up for dueling in the Elftown Wiki Poetry Dueling Arena over at Elftown. I thought it worth sharing with those of you over here, as well, so here it is!
Click, click say the needles
Swish, whisper says the yarn
Soon a shape emerges
Knit of yarn so warm
Clack, click say the needles
Whisper, tug goes the yarn
Then a knot, there a lump
Knitting on unknowing
Click, rub say the needles
Swish, swash says the yarn
Drop a stitch, unnoticed
Knit and purl, knit and purl
Swish, clack say the needles
As they’re dropped from the yarn
Tug, pull goes the yarn
As apart the scarf is pulled
Tie, pull goes the yarn
Tied back on the needle
Click, clack say the needles
As they begin anew
