Description: Criix is a short, mountain purple skinned immortal with a wicked grin and oddly large ears, especially since there's four of them. As with any immortal, Criix's body is unusual to most people, and especially to scholars. While in appearance only a small child, Criix is actually into his third regeneration. His majestic jade eyes are perfectly round, with eyelids that only cover any part of them when he blinks. His four ears are considerably huge, each nearly half the size of his head with the extra two sitting exactly two inches behind the first pair, which are right where normal people have them. His rounded head is human in shape, otherwise, with no hair and a large mouth containing only carnivorous teeth. His frail looking body is covered typically by a loose robe of a color that can only be said resembles white, as its actual color is one that immortals can only truly experience.
Personality: A gambling nature by spirit, Criix's only enjoyment comes from taking a risk on something. He won't smile, won't even pretend to smile for anything else, because nothing else makes me feel like smiling. He cares little, bothers with other emotions even less, and simply enjoys anything where the outcome is uncertain. It's why he agreed to take the risk of helping Kruun, and why he's now trapped inside of the boy. Even inside, Criix just waits, liking the gamble of predicting what'll happen next in the youth's life.
History: Born an immortal to an immortal family, Criix never had any inclinations of what the word mortality even meant until the age of 140, when he was finally brought out into the world. His life before this entrance into the world had been anything but mundane. He and his sister would play games as dangerous as they wished. They would toss weapons that could cleave men in two through the air and try to catch them with their teeth. They would leap out of the 500 foot tower they called their home and see who could land in the funniest pose. They even took turns during boring evenings swallowing doses of dangerous chemicals, to see who could stand the taste more. Their parents didn't care, they didn't have to, because being immortal has its advantages. It was during these younger years that Criix found his love for gambling. He enjoyed the rush of betting on who would win their impossible games, or predicting his own limits and testing them. It was the only things that made Criix feel like he was alive. He learned why the day he left his home.
Only 40 years into his second regeneration, Criix walked out of the tower with no concepts of how normal people worked, or that there even were normal people. He arrived in a nearby village, something as quaint as the storybooks, and set out to play some games with the locals. The stares he received after mentioning the games he and his sister played only increased his confusion. People had determined he was an immortal, but he was completely naive of what they were, and why they didn't want to play. One man, however, seeing that the immortal was just in it for the risk, invited him to a game of cards.
Criix was hooked after his first hand, and played all night. He'd perform daredevil stunts and allow attempts at his life if he lost, but by morning he'd nearly cleaned out everyone's pockets. It became his mission in life to do just that, everywhere. The more he travelled, the more games he found that he could bet on. the more he could bet on, the more he wanted to bet. Eventually, he reached the point where he didn't care what it was he was risking, or what the situation was, he would gamble every second, of every day, even if the bet was with himself.
This, of course, landed Criix in more trouble than most people could handle, but his nonchalant attitude and ever-expanding ego helped him drift right through all of life's little 'difficulties.
It was during this time in his life that Criix ended up inside Kruun's village, and met his parents. It was a gamble, but if he could have the child, he could place his bets through the kid... and then get a new one once he was through. It was perfect. But, as he bent down to give the child new life, he was sucked inside, and his life was infused with the child's.
Since then, he has gone through one regeneration, and has enjoyed his time inside the child. Only once has he taken control of Kruun, and that was to place a bet that he couldn't resist. That was the only time anyone has seen his newest regeneration, and may be the only time for a long while...
Abilities: Immortals are incapable of dying from physical damage in 90% of their regeneration states. His current form does not have this capability, even though his last two did. This is why Kruun was nearly killed by Vallait when he was younger.
With this, they also 'regenerate' once every 100 years. The process is a random recreation of their body which alters their powers and physical prowess for the next 100 years of life.
Giving life energy was one of Criix's powers in his last regeneration, which he has currently lost the use of.
Currently, the immortal has the power to physically boost the strength of any part of his body by creating a glowing aura around his hands.
