The forest was thick with the stench of blood and dark desires, things that any sane creature would avoid without much thought. The figure that walked through the forest though, with its deep grey cloak and tall, leather boots barely seemed to notice at all.

Of course not. At this point she couldn't smell anymore...

Suddenly she stopped, the hood of her cloak flipping back to reveal long, curled, golden locks that tumbled out like a river of gold against the grey cloth. Even the shadows cast by the trees seemed to forget how to dull down her gorgeous hair.

She stopped? No... that's not right...

With a sudden snap, the girl rose into the air a foot or two and her shining blue eyes faced the sky in a blank stare.

Oh... right... He had gotten her.

A black arm, muscled and covered in spikes seemed to materialize into the world, the hand gripping the young girl's throat with fury. The arm was attatched to an equally unfriendly looking black being, human shaped, but around ten feet tall. He was covered in the same small spikes as his arm. His mouth moved, but no sounds came out, yet the girl hung there, limp in his grip.

He had never been beaten... before then...

The moment the black creature stopped moving its lips, a scream tore through the air and blasted the two apart. Hanging by a few strands of black flesh, and now oozing purple slime, the arm hung down towards the ground as the creature yelled out in rage and pain. Then, just as it had appeared, it left in a flash, leaving the girl on the ground, unconcious.

I still wonder... if she remembers any of it...
