2009-04-22 Angel In Red: *totally rules this page*... *with a cap that states I'm the Empress of Ruling Pages*....I'm so cool.[Tyr Zalo Hawk]: 712.The Tyr Files.RTQ.Frie
Rating: 0.00
Tyr: No. We love cats.
It was the garden hose... that darned garden hose...
Alia: Wish I had exciting stuff to look forward to, instead of just work.
Tyr: All I've got is college
tainting the youth of the nation with incomprehensib
Alia: *laughs* And you're willing to go along with that?
Tyr: Are you kidding? I'm the one doing the tainting XD
It's like paradise... in a way.
Alia: Your dress looks like hurricane katrina humping a volcano, I'm not exactly sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.
Alia: *shakes you by the shoulders* Tyr, you MUST realise you have a penis!
BE.A.MAN.
Tyr: Being a man means having a dick, not being one. And if it means being one, then I'd rather just be a 'guy' or a 'dude' or just plain Tyr.
Alia: Dun call me Kitty...
I'm no kitty cat...
I'm no kitkat!
I AM NOT A CHOCOLATE BAR!
Tyr: Then don't call me pig, I'm not a police officer.
Tyr: Not all geeks are geeks. I'm a nerd, after all
Alia: Its the SAME thing.
Tyr: Not even close.
Alia: Do explain.
Tyr: Geeks are specialists. Geeks are the kind of people who work on computers, know what Chopin piece you're playing by any 5 seconds of it, and have this little squad where they run to the beck and call of normies.
Nerds are widespread and intense. Nerds play video games, dapple in electronic arts, read plenty of books, and still find the time to study random things, all at once.
A Geek picks out a specialty, like a job, and then intensely delves into it, dedicating something close to their entire life into that art. Sure, they have other hobbies and interests, but not to the depth of their true passion.
A Nerd has many passions, but they're always more intellectual passions as opposed to physical passions. Nerds had a wider, usually less intense understanding of a plethura of items, and aren't offended by someone not knowing who starred in Episode #53 of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Nerds, while some of them might know this detail, usually don't feel obligated to discuss it with normal people.
...
Alia: Whats an abstract?
Tyr: Someone who stereotypes won't fit well enough because of situational factors that can't be allowed to be factored in, or else all stereotypes fall apart.
Alia: ...say that in english?
Tyr: Current circumstances can't be taken into account. For example you temporarily break your leg and take up chess instead of football, this doesn't make you a geek or a "chessy", you're probably still a jock at heart, just different for the moment.
If you permanently go to chess, then you still need to get the personality down and whatnot to change your stereotype.
Abstracts are either inbetweeners (the ones who can't be put into place because they're so close to either. A Jock playing chess,) or outsiders (the ones who are obviously in a stereotype, but don't seem to fit with it despite that. A Jock in the middle of converting.)
Alia: The Modern Day Woman: Threatens to provide damage to her best friends groin area, curls her hair, plots murder and types at the same time.
